ARTCO YLS Stones are the original oil-soaked mold polishing stones, which have become an industry standard. These aluminum oxide grain stones have been pre-treated in an oil solution to prevent loading and eliminate the need to pre-lubricate prior to use.
ARTCO YLS Stones are fast cutting with excellent breakdown while retaining their shape for polishing mold cavities and are especially well suited for use on slots, ribs, and hard to reach areas. ARTCO YLS Stones are available in 100, 120, 150,180, 220, 320, 400, 500, and 600 grits. Stones are also available in square and round geometries; ARTCO™ YLS Stones - Square & Round.
ARTCO YLS Stones are designed for hand finishing with Stone Holders, use with reciprocating Profilers, and Ultrasonic Polishers. ARTCO YLS Stones are non-loading and can be used with or without a lubricant such as our ARTCO Stoning Oil, Norton Stoning Oil, or Boride BORI-LUBE 10 with these stones to avoid loading.
