ARTCO™ Silicon Carbide Stones - Square & Round

ARTCO™ Silicon Carbide Stones are composed of a silicon carbide grain with a specially formulated soft bond. This soft bond allows the stones to rapidly breakdown and conform to surfaces and details, making them excellent for use on a variety of metals including tools steels and softer steels.
The finer grit ARTCO™ Silicon Carbide Stones are frequently used to achieve a fantastic matte finish without scratching and are very popular for stoning prior to diamond polishing. ARTCO™ Silicon Carbide Stones are available in 100, 120, 150, 180, 220, 320, 400, 500, and 600 grits. Stones are also available in square and round geometries; ARTCO™ Silicon Carbide Stones - Rectangular.
ARTCO™ YLS Stones are designed for hand finishing with Stone Holders and use with reciprocating Profilers. ARTCO™ YLS Stones are non-loading and can be used with or without a lubricant such as our ARTCO™ Stoning Oil, Norton Stoning Oil, or Boride BORI-LUBE 10 with these stones to avoid loading.
