Vallorbe® Glardon® Screwhead Precision Files

Vallorbe® Glardon® Screwhead Precision Files are designed for filing slots in small screws. These files are narrow, diamond shaped files which are single cut on both sides. Unlike most Vallorbe files, these files are identified by their thickness, not their cut. This is denoted by the digit after the second dash in the SKU, e.g. LP1840-3-2 has a 3" cut length file with a #2 thickness (0.70mm). 

With its precision files, Vallorbe® Glardon® has been offering the guarantee of high-quality, Swiss made products manufactured from a high-carbon steel especially designed for files, since 1899. These files are part of the Premium range of Glardon® products. They are particularly recommended for professionals who want to achieve an excellent quality of work. A precision file is characterized by:

• Its profile: we offer a broad selection of different profiles depending on your requirements: hand, pillar, round edge, equaling, crochet, warding, halfround, round, oval, three square, square, slotting, barrette, pippin, knife, screwhead, multifile and crossing, etc.
• Its length: this is measured in inches and does not include the tang. 

• Its cut: the cut of Glardon® precision files is designed by means of a scale of cuts ranging from 000 which is the coarsest, up to 8 which is the finest. Each of these cuts equates to a certain number of teeth per square centimeter.
