Type 11 Cup Wheels, often referred to as flared or flaring cup grinding wheels, are regularly used with tool & cutter grinders (e.g. Deckel S0 / S0E, Kuhlmann SU2, Alexander, Hasberg FSS, etc). Their cup shape is designed to provide a large surface area and more clearance than a typical straight grinding wheel.

N30393, Norton 80 Grit, J-hardness wheels are the most commonly used wheels. They are excellent for grinding high-speed steel tools. Composed of aluminum oxide, they stay cool during heavy grinding making them a great option for heat-sensitive applications.

Please note that most cutter grinders like the Deckel S0 and S0E are designed for use with 20mm ID Hole cup wheels, to use these 1-1/4" ID Hole cup wheels a bushing may be required.

For grinding carbide tools, use an ARTCO Diamond Grinding Wheel
