Artco mounted wheels are color-coded by grits BROWN = 60 grit, BLUE = 80 grit, WHITE = 100 grit, BLUE MOLD CUT = 120 grit. The brown wheels are recommended for non-hardened steels or other hard metals. Blue mounted wheels have a slightly finer grit and hold up well in the small points. White wheels are recommended for heat-treated steels, being both finer in grit and softer in the bonding. Blue Mold Cut wheels are recommended for pre-hardened steel, finer than the White but harder in bonding.
NOTE: Blue Mold Cut is only available in shapes W142, W145, W146, W149, W153, W154, W162, W163, W175, W176, W177 and W186. Dimensions refer to diameter x length.
