Super carbide burs, often referred to as "carbide", were originally designed for use in the dental office on hard tooth enamel in high-speed dental handpieces. The harder blades of these burs make them useful for working on materials that are too hard for tungsten vanadium steel burs.
Super carbide burs are made of high performance carbide steel. Using a special process that bonds the carbide head to the steel shank (unaffected by heat), these burs are constructed to assure exact concentricity. Busch burs are very durable and wear-resistant, even under unfavorable clearance conditions.
Taper Finishing burs, sometimes referred to as Square or Flat End Cone burs are very versatile often used by dentist, jewelers, and hobbyists, available in a wide range of diameters. As their name indicates, these burs are designed for finishing applications and are designed with smaller flutes than a conventional plain cut bur.
Taper Finishing burs are excellent for applications in natural enamel, acrylic, or metals such as gold and silver.
Available in two shank sizes:
-
Friction Grip - 1/16" Ø Shank × 3/4"
Priced per piece.
Available in the following diameters - ISO #'s (Inch):
