ARTCO Rough-Out Stones

ARTCO Rough-Out Stones are used extensively in the die cast and permanent mold industries as they are fantastic for rapid and aggressive stock removal. ARTCO™ Rough-Out Stones are available in several different hardness’s and grits.
The white colored A100G is the softest of our Rough-Out Stones and provides fast cutting and rapid breakdown. The dark blue A100K is a harder bonded Rough-Out Stone for more aggressive stoning and stock removal. Finally, the orange AA150K and AA220K, our most popular Rough-Out Stones, are our hardest bonded roughing stone which is fantastic for detailing sharp corners and edges and offers rapid and aggressive stock removal.
ARTCO Rough-Out Stones can be used with or without a lubricant such as our ARTCO Stoning Oil, Norton Stoning Oil, or Boride BORI-LUBE 10. ARTCO™ Rough-Out Stones are designed for hand finishing with Stone Holders, use with reciprocating Profilers, and Ultrasonic Polishers.
