ARTCO aluminum oxide EDM Stones are formulated for the removal of hard surface scale left by EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining). These stones are some of the hardest we sell and are ideal for scale removal on all types of mold, die and heat treated steels. The strength of bond and slow breakdown of these stones makes them perfect for rapid stock removal and for polishing sharp corners and details. ARTCO EDM Stones are available in 100, 180, 220, 320, and 400 grits. See the Specifications tab for further information on available geometries and dimensions.
ARTCO EDM Stones are designed for hand finishing with Stone Holders, use with reciprocating Profilers, and Ultrasonic Polishers. Always use a lubricant such as our ARTCO™ Stoning Oil, Norton Stoning Oil, or Boride BORI-LUBE 10 with these stones to avoid loading.
Please note: 1/8" X 1/8" X 6" and 3/8" Ø X 6" sizes have been discontinued and will no longer be available when present stock is depleted.
Warning Read the Safety Data Sheets (SDS), prior to use. Failure to follow this warning can result in injury. |
