A modular design in which the base unit is precisely located with table slot locators and bolted down to the machine table. The quick change top plate is placed on top and located against 5 hardened and ground dowel pins and bolted on the base. Proceed with normal job setup and production. Once the job has been completed, remove the quick change top plate and store with the tooling intact. The tool's offsets are saved with the program. To set the same job up the next time, the previously setup tooling and top plate are rebolted, a collet change, and push start cycle, taking less than 10 minutes time. With setup time reduces to almost nothing, this unit will pay for itself very quickly. The system uses 3/4" center height tooling. 1/2" center height top plate is special order, depending on your preference or application.
