Vallorbe® Glardon® 12" Toolmaker Rifflers

Vallorbe® Glardon® 12" Toolmaker Rifflers round out the most complete line of Swiss precision rifflers available to industry. They are made of chrome-alloy steel for long, efficient life and corrosion resistance. 12" Toolmaker Rifflers are contoured to make difficult-to-reach areas readily accessible and are well balanced to facilitate delicate finishing work.

Glardon® rifflers are indispensable tools for filing surfaces that are difficult to access. Filed at both ends, they are ideal for use on machined parts with complex profiles and contours. Rifflers are particularly recommended for mold makers, engravers, carvers and goldsmiths carrying out any precision work with steel, plastics or copper.

A riffler is characterized by:

• Its profile: we offer a broad selection of different profiles in order to meet as many user requirements as possible.
• Its length: measured along the entire length of the tool, the length may be 6" (150mm), 7" (180mm) or 12" (300mm) depending on the model.
• Its cut: this is indicated on a scale ranging from 0 to 4. Each of these cuts equates to a certain number of teeth per square centimeter.
